Although the overall maintenance had not been complete, they were working on it, and I remarked to the manager that he must be a hell of a businessman to have kept things going as well as he did with the hit they took from reduced revenue during Covid. Tourism was greatly reduced by covid restrictions. The staff were exceptionally friendly and easy to talk to, and always helpful, even running errands if needed. It may only a one-star hotel, but I would stay there again if travelling to Tamale. Shopping was a short walk, and access to public transport was 5 minutes away.

We spent one night at this lodge. The toilet seat fell off the toilet. Only a slow trickle of water came out of the faucet and the whole sink shifted out of place when lifting the faucet handle. Little water available in the shower. No towels or face cloths were provided. The ceiling fan made a huge racket when turned on, like a helicopter landing. The pillows were hard - one seemed to be filed with cut up sponge. No wifi service was available even though the site advertised that they provided internet.
It was basic accomodation if you are not fussy.

I guess reasonable for the price
Posted 30 Aug 2019 on HotelsA couple blocks off main road, just a little bit hard to find. Staff persons fairly uncommunicative. We arrived about 6pm. No food. Water a trickle in the shower. Staff had no idea about how to get taxi in morning to get to Tamale airport. So we walked to road and found a "can do" in no time. Large beds, clean sheets, AC worked fine. Just a small window so a bit depressing. Oh, initially wifi was off, but staff went and bought credits and it was then fine.

This property was good for the price. The breakfast was simple - an egg with toast. They have internet but we had to ask for it to be turned on. This is not too bad considering how far the property is located from the city centre. Some staff are more responsive than others. The manager is quick to respond. They have onsite free parking and I always felt safe there. AC worked well and water pressure was okay. Some of the pillows are hard so don't be afraid to ask them to give you another one.

Rooms are big and clean, with working AC, fridge, tv, ceiling fan. My room wasn't quite ready when I arrived, and my friend's AC wouldn't turn on, but staff were very quick to fix both issues. Lodge is difficult to find for taxi drivers for some reason, make sure you have google maps up or can call the lodge to give the driver directions.
