I stayed there mostly with my group but I arrived a day early. It was a very very nice hotel. It had enough space in the room. It seemed very clean. It was very convenient especially after the tour group caught up with me. The breakfast at the hotel was nice. I ate two meals for dinner there and both were excellent.

Easy to get to, central location. Size of the room is quite small though. Room amenities are pretty basic. Otherwise it is ok.

Great new modern hotel minutes from Old Town

Posted 19 Aug 2024 on Hotels
Great new modern hotel only minutes outside of the Old Town. We had a nice family-size room that met our needs. There was road construction in front of the building; looks like it is nearly completed. But we didn't hear any noise from it. Staff were friendly; but gave us incorrect information on how to take transit to the beach.

There is road construction in front. But it didn't really inconvenience us. And was still quiet and clean inside.

Small problems create a big difference

Posted 11 Aug 2024 on Hotels
Hi. My card was declined when paying for room. My card was accepted anywhere else in Tallinn except this hotel, even in hotel's own bar. The reception staff did not help me with this problem by checking the machine and I was forced to use my emergency cash for the payment. Not my type of service as I am sure it was the payment terminal's problem. Bar staff was friendly and helpful. Room was tidy and sleeping there was peaceful and refreshing. There was a water boiler with two bags of tea. As a coffee drinker it was sad to see no instant coffee bags. They cost a cent but make the day much better. For a 100€ room I expect to get that, especially since there are so many tourists from Finland who famously drink the most coffee in the world per capita. What gives? When I returned my keycard the receptionist only opened their mouth when asking for minibar use. No greeting, no thank you please come again. This and the previous problem with card payment begs a question: Is your hotel living in a world where Soviet service still exists? Where receptionist doesn't need to know how to serve customers? You do understand customer service is everything in hotel business? This was my first hotel experience in your company. These complaints I have are small but they make a difference and I presume my bank card (and my money) are more welcome in some other hotel in the beautiful city of Tallinn. You can thank the cleaning staff and bar staff. They succeeded in their work.

Dear sir/madam,Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience and takingthe time to share it.We are sorry that you are having problems paying by card. You should have contacted the reception with the problem that there is no coffee in your room. Our staff would have brought you as much coffee and cream as you asked for. Please accept my sincere apologies for the shortfalls you encountered asyou have mentioned, about check-out time. Those points will be highly taken underconsideration and informed to the concerned department heads to seek aprompt improvement. We hope to have a chance to welcome you back in the near future. With kind regards,Tallink City HotelFront Office Administrator

I travel extensively and have stayed in numerous hotels worldwide, but I’ve never encountered anything like this before. I called the reception to request a standard room cleaning, including fresh bed sheets. To my surprise, I was informed that this would incur an additional charge. Shocked, I declined the service. The room lacked basic amenities, such as an iron and ironing board. There were only two tea bags, with no coffee or other refreshments available. Additionally, there was only one pillow per person on the bed, and the mattress quality was absolutely poor, preventing a deep and restful sleep. On a queen bed, there were two separate blankets, which is not ideal for a couple sharing the bed. Overall, the experience felt more like a 2-star hotel, certainly not a 4-star one. I wouldn’t return to this hotel.

Dear Farhad,Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience and takingthe time to share it.Our hotel cleans the rooms every two days, and if the guest wants the cleaning to be done earlier, it costs extra. For safety reasons, there are no irons in our rooms. But we have a separate ironing and laundry room, which has everything you need, it is free and open 24 hours. If you had problems with coffee and pillows, you should have contacted the reception. Our staff will bring you coffee, cream, an extra pillow or other necessary things to your room for free. Our hotel provides two separate blankets as standard, and you could have also contacted the reception. We hope to have a chance to welcome you back in the near future. With kind regards,Tallink City HotelFront Office Administrator

Very conveniently located

Posted 31 Jul 2024 on Hotels
This is a big, modern hotel with a great location very close to Tallinn's old town. My room was on the 5th floor. When I arrived the TV in my room did not work, but a quick word with reception got that sorted. There was a well stocked mini bar, comfortable bed and WiFi was strong and reliable. My only issue was that the hotel needs more elevators for the number of people who stay in it. There are 3 and their capacity is limited to about 4 adults so it sometimes took 20 minutes to get up or down to my room. Apart from that it was a great place to stay. It'll soon be even better as a tram connection to Tallinn's ferry port is under construction running past the hotel's main entrance.
