There was one twin bed for 3 people. Totally unacceptable. Manager argued with us that the room was big enough for 3 people on one twin bed. When asked for a bigger room they wanted to charge more.

Room was terrible, we check in but we didn’t stay even 30 minutes.( we were planning to stay 2 days)we checked out and came back.It is not a hotel problem . It is your marketing problem.bad experience for the first time.

Excellent staff. Bathroom is well appointed. Absence of microwave in room made it less convenient but there is a communal microwave. Free onsite laundry a major plus (pay only for drying). Did not have a chance to visit in-hotel onsen but they offer tattoo patches. Very conveniently located next to a Family Mart. under 1 km from Takasaki Station.

Friendly and professional check-in staff. Some staff used a translator which worked great. The “onsen” hot springs is the reason why a Dormy Inn is always a good choice. (Usually open from 15:00~10:00 next morning - so anytime at night) Yes rooms are small - on par with most business hotels - but the sauna and hot spring options are worth it. Free ice cream afterwards. (Yoghurt drink in the morning) a bowl of ramen for an evening snack.

It was unfortunate that the Expedia listing did not mention anywhere that tattoos were not allowed in the baths. I would have booked a different place had I known.
