amba has a great boutique hotel feel. The view from the room was spectactular as you get a great view of Taipei, with an excellent view of Taipei 101. We really like the service and hospitality provided at amba Songshan.

This hotel is all we expected and more. It is a clean, basic room. There is a mall across the street with lots of food options and shops, so was very convenient. They also have a free shuttle to go to certain places. The hotel restaurant could be better. It was rather expensive for Taiwan. We had dinner there the first night as it was raining hard and we were not yet oriented to our surroundings. We had to purchase an entree which comes with the buffet which was way too much food. Allowing guests to purchase just the buffet would have been better. Coffee is free to guests but for some reason, we didn’t know until days later. It was probably because my understanding of mandarin is limited and the English speaking hostess was busy.

The check in was complicated as the lobby was situated on the 17th. floor and there was no one at ground level to guide you.

Breakfast was a little bit disappointing with few options, but everything else was great!!

The location is very good. The staff was most helpful. The breakfast selection is excellent
