If you like old buildings with culture and characters, this place is very special. The owners are friendly and nice. Very good location and a good place to stay. However, this place is not a modern hotel so do not expect everything new.

Stylish and unique, traditional in architecture, located in the heart of old town where you are within minutes walk to restaurants, night market, etc. The owner was very nice, the rooms were clean and comfortable. Lots of space to chill and relax. I highly recommend these accomodation. Note that this is a vintage building so the stairs treads leading up to the second and third floor rooms are steep and narrow. Also the bathrooms are a part of the bedroom, separated only by a curtain.

Old, but so good...........
Posted 23 Oct 2018 on HotelsWe had a chance to talk to the owners, Tim and his wife and found out their thoughts towards their hotel. It is a real vintage building and Tim renovated reserving the original exteriors/interiors with good care. Tim explained it costs him a lot to maintain, but I admire his passion and feelings. I felt his love to reserve his hotel well. I felt like we were invited to Taiwan's old family house. Old, but good.......
We had a very pleasant stay and enjoyed every detail and antiques.
Its location is convenient. Close to Tainan train station and famous tourist areas.
I would stay there again next time.

Pretty special place
Posted 25 Aug 2018 on HotelsThe hotel is in a restored art deco townhouse which has been tastefully furnished with antiques. It's in a really good location with everything apart from Anping in walking distance. Bed was very comfy and the room was clean. The owner is friendly and knows loads about Tainan which was super fortunate for me. The bathroom situation is a little unusual but I understand why it's done that way, and as a solo traveler I wasn't bothered. Overall I'd stay again.

A very special experience

Pros: The vintage feeling, the decor, the care taken to layout and appearance, and the wonderful location.
Cons: The shower facilities in the room weren't great, but that goes with the territory - the building was build 80 years ago.
Location: Cool downtown location near shopping, food, and a funky live music spot.
We definitely enjoyed our stay at the Vintage. Owner Tim is super nice, but professional, and he's put together a fine establishment. We loved the decor, the room, the balcony, and the location. The vintage feeling was splendid.

Charm in the downtown core.
Posted 20 Jan 2018 on HotelsThis little hotels full of charm, but it's not for everybody. We found the owner to be very helpful considerate. The location was excellent and we felt safe in the neighbourhood. Lots of things to do in the area. The hotel is in a heritage building...hence the charm...but some might not like having concrete floors or the toilet in the bedroom behind a curtain. We did't mind...we enjoyed the excellent shower and all the hot water. Thank you for two lovely days.

Too noisy as it is on a busy street ,
