I love the location of this property. It is in the center of the city. A bit far away from big shopping malls but transportation is convenient. Theres a 3 restaurants and a cafe. The room that I had was big with big window and just along the road but never complain any vehicle noise. Gym was a bit tiny and kinda rusty but enough. Staffs were great! Polite and accommodating.

We loved our stay at XYZ hotel. The staff were really helpful, polite and friendly. The room was really nice and the bed was huge and comfortable. The only thing that let it down was the water pressure was really low in the shower. It was fluctuating badly and sounded like there was a lot of air in the pipework. Other than that we loved our stay there.

I will always look forward to staying here. There are some minor opportunities but overall consistently great service. As an American, this hotel lives up to expectations of security, good Internet speeds, safety and kindness.

I booked the hotel through Expedia, and it took several attempts to contact the hotel via phone (no answer), email (no response), WhatsApp (replied >2 days later), and Viber (finally replied after 2 days) to confirm our booking and arrange for airport transfer. Since were were flying in from the U.S. I was very worried that they didn't have our reservation in the system, and the delayed (and lack of) response really aggravated this concern. When they finally returned my messages, Rose, the front desk attendant, was extremely helpful in arranging our airport transfer. Hotel management should train staff to check emails and messages at least 2x a day because they might be losing bookings due to non-response. Otherwise, Hotel XYZ was an amazing find in downtown Tacloban. The interior design is absolutely beautiful. Beds were comfortable and pillows were extra fluffy. We stayed in the "Fabulous Room" which included a 2nd story loft. The room was small but very well laid out. The onsite restaurants are the best in the area, so there's no need to venture out. Be prepared for the heat and humidity... there is no central air conditioning so the hallways and elevators can be stifling. While the room was clean, we were missing towels and extra toilet paper in the bathroom. In terms of other amenities, they provided slippers, bath gel/shower/conditioner, bar soap, and a dental kit. It would have been nice to have full length mirrors and a safe in the room.
