The hotel is probably the second-best on the island, therefore, I suggest to put in balance the good and the "exotic" factors.
The restaurant is really outstanding. More specifically, the dinner meals were absolutely delicious. I tried the tropical sauces, the Pizza, the salad - everything was very tasty.
The hosts are very nice and try to help in any way they can. Always with a smile.
The hotel is positioned only minutes from the landing dock of the ferry, just across the street from ones of the beaches, and still in "downtown" Taboga. It is very cutely decorated, with vintage and a mixed colonial and French theme.
However, one has to take into account the inexpensive rooms and expect no fridge, no hair-drier, no working bed-lamps, and no luxury features. It is pretty difficult to get across any specific requests if you do not speak Spanish. There are a total of 65 steps from the street level to your room, so take that into consideration - in case you have any mobility issues. Also to keep in mind is that you are on a tropical island, with no screened windows and in a hot and humid climate, meaning you may encounter tiny ants in the bathroom, or even the odd mean-biting little fly. Make sure you pack some insect repellant if you are skin-sensitive.
