Rooms are fine, good quality sleep. Parking is in a cellar a bit hard to find due to roadworks, and narrow parking. Elevators and staircases are old, but in general all common areas are of high quality.

During the check-in I asked for parking options. Reception proposed own parking. On the question: can I park outside the Feedback was: it is public parking but at weekends for free. Three hours later I had a ticket as parking in front of the hotel is NOT allowed (stopping for checkin is possible). I asked three times for hotel manager - not available. Novotel staff always told me the same: parking at weekends possible. I cannot believe that people working in a hotel do not know parking rules in front of the hotel entrance. When trying to complain the feedback was: this is public parking and not their problem. If reception tells me that I can park there, I see responsibility with the hotel. A hotel should train their staff in a question which is raised by every guest with a car. A very unpleasant experience.

There was very strong horrible smell in all three rooms we tried at the hotel. The smell seemed to come out of the air condition and smelled like pesticides or drug. Rooms where badly cleaned, spots missed on many places on carpet, leftover food in mini fridge, male underwear in top shelf in wardrobe etc. There was no sheet on bed matress only sheet on the matress cover. The room had no brochures and no do not disturb sign and house keeping entered whenever they pleased while we slept. Other staff was pleasant and manager professional when we complained about smell and asked for a new room. But they could not provide room without the smell. The swimming pool area is the only reason you should choose this hotel but if you are expecting a 4 star hotel experience this is not the place for you. Avoid second floor.

I recently stayed at a Novotel property and encountered a situation that significantly impacted my experience negatively. Unlike other Novotel hotels, this location sells access to its wellness area—including the gym, spa, and sauna—to non-guests. This policy has led to overcrowding, with the facilities often filled to capacity from opening to closing. The serene and exclusive ambiance expected of a hotel wellness area was absent, replaced by a bustling, gym-like atmosphere dominated by locals.Furthermore, the pool was frequently unavailable to hotel guests due to swimming classes for local children, a detail not disclosed prior to booking. The constant overcrowding and external use of the facilities deviate significantly from the quality and exclusivity I've associated with the Novotel brand.This practice not only diminishes the value of staying at this Novotel property for guests but also raises questions about the management's decision-making regarding guest satisfaction and brand integrity. I've taken steps to report my concerns to Hotels.com and plan to reach out to Accor, the parent company of Novotel, to share my feedback.Prospective guests should be aware that this hotel's wellness area is open to the public, which may affect their stay experience. Had I been informed of this policy, I would have chosen to stay elsewhere. Attached is an image of the hotel advertising its swimming classes, underscoring the extent of its engagement with non-guest activities.

Wir haben das Hotel für einen Drei-Nächte Aufenthalt gebucht. Verkehrsanbindungen und Lage sind hervorragend. Unser Zimmer (Junior-Suite für 2 Erw. 2 Kinder) war mit zwei getrennten Räumen, zwei Fernseher, zwei Toiletten etc. bestens ausgestattet. Das Frühstück war im Vgl. zu D recht günstig, aber reichhaltig. Das Personal vor Ort spricht überwiegend englisch und war freundlich sowie hilfsbereit. Der kleine Wellness- und Fitnessbereich ist in Ordnung, aber auch gut ausgelastet. Insbesondere das Schwimmbecken ist ziemlich klein. Wir haben das hoteleigene Parkhaus genutzt. Die Einfahrt ist recht eng, dafür sind die Parkplätze ausreichend breit und genug vorhanden. Zusammenfassend würden wir wieder herkommen.

Wir waren als fünfköpfige Familie Gäste im Novotel. Tolle Parkmöglichkeiten, direkt in der hoteleigenen Tiefgarage, videoüberwacht, per Fahrstuhl direkt in die Lobby. 70 PLZ pro Tag völlig ok. Zimmer sauber und gut ausgestattet. Sehr guter Pool mit angenehm warmem Wasser (sehr wichtig für uns mit Kindern!). Whirlpool sehr warm, super Sauna. Frühstück reichhaltig, die Waffelstation war heißbegehrt. Auch das hoteleigene Restaurant hat uns sehr gut gefallen, alles zu moderaten Preisen. Die Innenstadt und der Hafen in fußläufiger Entfernung. Viele kleine Restaurants und Cafés in der Nähe. Alles in allem: eine klare Hotelempfehlung, wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!
