This hotel as well as the entire Ortiga area was an absolute delight! It was a our first visit to Sicily and we were in love the minute our driver dropped ud off!

Beautiful Hotel with a great view of the ocean
Posted 18 Sep 2024 on HotelsThe Grand Hotel des Estrangers is a beautiful hotel perfectly located in the Ortigia section of Syracuse. The building is beautiful and the renovations are very stylish. The breakfast was excellent and the rooftop bar and restaurant are quite nice. The staff is high professional and friendly. We had massages at their Spa which were top notch. The gym is adequate. Good luck if you need to change large euro bills for smaller denominations, we asked once or twice every day and were often unable to get it from the front desk. I know it’s not a bank but it’s a reasonable request.

Perfectly located with breathtaking views of the sea. Staff was excellent. Only issue we had was it took over 45 minutes to get our car from the valet parking and I almost missed my train in Siracusa because of it.
