"Stunning hotel with beautiful staff always happy to see you and keen to help. Quiet and peaceful location, the hotel is between the archeological park (which the hotel gave us bikes free of charge to ride to) and ortigia island. Great breakfast and as an extra surprise our beautiful room even had a sauna! We would stay here again and again. "

"Our family of 4 loved everything about this property! The location was perfect. We watched the sunset every night from our private terrace. There was a gentleman playing the accordion during sunset that added to the ambiance. The hosts were very friendly and informative. They gave us lots of great suggestions on places to eat and what to see! We would definitely stay here again should we come back to beautiful Ortigia! Thank you so much!"

"The location of the hotel is within walking distance of most places of interest so it's very handy. The room I booked was basic but I was out most of the time anyway so I didn't need too many things. The fridge was spacious enough to store some food and drinks. The hosts, Antonio and Helene, were very friendly and helpful and spoke good English. I used the shuttle service both ways which was excellent. "My boyfriend and I had the most wonderful 3-night stay at Palazzo Gilistro in June. The staff were so friendly and helpful, the room was fab and house keeping did such a beautiful job every day. Breakfast was delicious. Palazzo Gilistro is in the perfect central location, just a few minutes walk from the Cathedral of Syracuse with an abudance of restaurants, shops and bars all in walking distance. Despite it being in the centre of town, our room was up high above the hustle and bustle and was lovely and quiet for bed time! If we had one suggestion, It would be to make better use of the great communal roof terrace - a bar up there would be perfect! We will definitely recommend Palazzo Gilistro to our friends and family and would love to return one day! "
