A very nice hotel, conveniently located in the centre of the city, within easy walking distance of tram and train stations.

Excellent home base in CBD. Beautiful old hotel with very modern rooms. Great shower and amenities. Staff was so helpful and kind. Free mini fridge restocked daily with juices, waters (still and sparkling), cream, sodas! Coffee making is either with instant coffee or with a plunge pot, which was perfect. Making hotel life very easy! Another thing that I absolutely loved was the amount of lighting that was available to each room. There were overhead lights, bed lights, bathroom lights, Mini fridge, light, etc. my niece is joined me after a day and the hotel had no trouble bending to the need for more towels and drinks. I would highly Recommend this hotel. It is so close to shopping that I was able to do all the shopping areas as well as have several lovely lunches.

Beautiful beds, pillows and towels. Rain shower head and great little lights lower down beside the bed and in the bathroom. Close to Wynyard station, QVB & Town Hall.

Although the hotel was a lovely old style property the walls in the rooms a paper thin! I could hear conversations with rooms beside and above me.

A return stay and didn’t disappoint. So convenient, with easy access to different transport options. Staff are friendly and helpful. Love the beautiful original features in the lobby areas. Has character & doesn’t feel like a chain hotel.
