I have been travelling to Sydney for 40 years & this was the first time I have stayed at Megaboom. Everything was excellent. It was safe, quiet, accessible to good shops - the main 3 for me. Plus, I do like to make myself a cup of tea! Kelvin ‘spoilt’ me by giving me a gorgeous room - which I truly valued and appreciated. A huge: THANK U to Kelvin from me. I will certainly pass on the good ‘news’ as a result of my stay to others in the future. This morning, Fri, 10.1.25 (when I was departing), Angelic & Monique were the 2 lovely, pleasant & positive females @ the front desk. As I expressed above, your hotel is super impressive - please keep this above standard up! I will certainly be back in the future. This hotel is only 2 minutes walk to the Westfield Mall on Pitt Street. 8 minutes walk to St. James train station. One can get to this hotel from the SYD airport by taking the train T8 from airport to St. James Station walk on Market Streeti/York Street, no need for a taxi. The staff here are nice people, good security, card entry for front door and room, but i do not like the room that i had. Because it is in a central location, the two weeks that i was there they were all sold out. i was unable to upgrade, no choice but having to stay in that room. My room was between floors, a serious mobility issue, because of my bad knee, no elevator access, having to drag my luggage to my room. This room is only for a solo traveler. It needs a lot of work, as i have to share my room with other species of animals. The good things are that i was able to enjoy Sydney CBD with excellent meals everyday, also a good sleep every night, living harmoniously with all the animals around me. I do not recommend this room to anyone at this time. As i booked this room back in June, 2024, they have penty of time to do all the work on it. Beware of things that go on sale at a discounted price. One would always get what they paid.

The hotel room was only good for one night if I had to stay longer, I would either choose another room or stay somewhere else. The room itself felt a little bit unsafe, as it was not in the main hallway but down the public stairwell and a standalone room. It was incredibly small and had little room to move around. The location is excellent and close to everything. This was the highlight of the hotel.

I booked two of the small rooms with single beds. Rooms were clean and fine size for just one person. Easy walking distance to Darling Harbour and other key areas such as shopping centres and theatres, a couple of close carparks. Grest price. Would definitely stay again.
