The Travel Lodge North Swords is in an excellent location for airport arrivals and departures. It has 24 hour front desk staff and security and the rooms and hallways are really very clean. The rooms are of an average size, the bathroom newly refurbished but the room itself needed updating. The carpet didn't reach to the side wall and the carpet tacks were visible and easily stood on. There was no hairdryer, limited tea and coffee etc, but was acceptable for a night or two stay.
Most of all what I didn't like was the area. The grounds were unkept and had rubbish dumped in places, the building is old on the outside and my room faced the car park that was noisy with undesirables hanging around. The public transport was there but was difficult to access, but the town of Swords was about a 10 minute walk away. Bottom line is that the Travel Lodge is very reasonably priced and you get what they claim on the ads, but what you get is just basic accommodation.

Bed was comfortable and room very clean. Downside: paper thin walls. Could hear conversation of the next suite. Staff friendly and efficient.

Best veggie burger I ever ate in, Smoking Bones restaurant. Reception staff great.

The hotel is older, but it is clean and in a safe area, not far from the airport. Nothing fancy. No hair dryer in room.

Hotel is dated, carpets are old, and the hallways stink like bad foods. Almost made me throw up. Our room also had long black hairs left on the floor from the previous guest.

Perfect for an early morning flight and 10-15 mins walk you have lots of restaurants, shopping and a castle. Staff were lovely

Restaurant was not great but the town of Swords has many nice places to eat only 10 minutes walk away. Nice ruined castle in town too.
