Beautiful property, inside and out, well located in Swellendam. Owners Nicky and Wim are kind and very helpful. Breakfast was terrific, room was excellent, and there is a pool on-site with lovely views. Highly recommend!

We enjoyed every minute at this very nice B&B with wonderful and caring hosts! Everything is very tastefully arranged and the breakfast is great.

Room with a View.
Posted 13 Nov 2017We loved our short stay in Babette and felt welcome and valued from our arrival to our departure. Our superb room overlooked the spectacular mountains and the beautiful garden, which had an inviting pool and loungers for guests. We were given valuable advice on things to do and see in the area and dined in a superb local restaurant in the evening. In the morning we were treated to a fabulous breakfast, served on the terrace. We loved Babette and would love to return and spend a longer time in Swellendam.

Great breakfast, quiet surroundings, friendly staff and hosts. However, it would be nice to have better blankets, room heater, carpeted floor and more lighting.

Posted 1 Feb 2017 on HotelsOur room in the garden was very attractive and well equipped with coffee making facilities, refrigerator with well-priced drinks, and comfortable bed. The gardens are beautifully laid out and have a large pool. There is ample parking. The owners are charming and helpful. Breakfast was very good. The accomodation is near several good restaurants and the museum. Overall this was a very good B and B - the only minor drawback was a lack of curtains or blinds on two of the higher windows which meant it was very bright in the morning and, as we are light sleepers, we were wakened earlier than was ideal.
