Loved the fact there was a lounge and the kitchen was great. The gentleman on the desk was lovely too.

Amazing stay 100% excellent
Posted 18 Apr 2023 on HotelsIt was a really good trip to the yha in Swanage as it was really clean and the bed was comfy and the bedding was cosy and comfortable and the price was very reasonable I didn’t use the lounge or bar so can’t comment about those things or the kitchen overall it was a good experience

It was totally spoilt when a large group of rugby club families arrived and took over the building for 2 of our three nights. Loud shouting until the early hours. Children running around the corridors and in and out the building No YHA staff on duty at night.

Dear Anonymous,Despite briefing the rugby group before hand about the do's and don'ts and that they did not have exclusive use of the building, it became abundantly clear that they either chose to ignore this or that they deemed their behavior as both acceptable and normal. For this we sincerely apologize. With hindsight the rugby group should have hired the building on a sole use basis so as not to inconvenience other families and individuals and again, we apologize for this oversight on our part. With regards to staff on duty, Swanage reception closes at 10pm thereafter there is an emergency phone for guests to use in case of a disturbance or incident. We regret that your stay was spoiled by the behavior of others and we hope that you'll return in the future for a more enjoyable stay.
