Very nice hotel overall. The rooms we had were a bit worn but still quite nice. The public areas were also very nice and in good repair. But where The Strand shined is the staff. Everyone from drive-up to drive away was so very nice. A special shout out to Zena, Thank You for everything. Overall we had a delightful stay and will stay again when we are back in Swakopmund.

Great people, from the doorman to the front desk to the restaurant staff to the room staff. Great beach views and very calm vibe.

Good location
Posted 23 May 2024 on HotelsLovely spacious suite, the restaurant and bar staff were very good, however some reception and service staff let overall service down as we made a few requests like ice in our room which never arrived, bar fridge was not replenished once in 3 days, food in all the hotel restaurants was great!
