Hotel was very clean. Less than 5 minute walk to the beach which is really nice. Only complaint were that the mattresses were hard as rock. My friends and I woke up with back and neck pain every morning. But overall the location was great.

The room was small but clean. Oversized furniture made it look cluttered. The bathroom was clean and stocked with big towels and other linens.
There was no closet for hanging items and the air conditioner, while clean, was inefficient. Four of the six drawers were filled with the extra pillows and blankets, leaving little room for our items.

Good housekeeping, older property but cozy. Great location and having restaurant on site a plus!

When I asked if we could change rooms because someone had left a windpipe he was very reluctant and more worried about me complaining than to just see that we were comfortable. The next room was close to the garbage bins and very loud in the morning when they came to collect.

Hello Linda,Regarding your review, I want to clarify that, to our knowledge, the situation you described did not occur. You reported an issue with your room to the front desk, and the manager on duty responded within 10 minutes. After inspecting the room, the manager offered you a room across the hall, which you accepted. The original room was then closed off until we could resolve the issue the next day.The mention of a wind pipe being found in the room was never brought up to our staff, nor was it the reason for your room change. Both the management and the head of housekeeping thoroughly inspected the room to address the issue you reported, and no such pipe was found. Again, it’s important to note that the room switch was not related to any pipe being discovered nor was it even mentioned to our staff. We do apologize for the issue you reported and corrected it the very next day but as far as this review we are unsure why you would post this. Sincerely The Surf City Hotel

The property was nice and clean. The room I booked was much smaller than pictured. front desk staff was quite uninterested in talking/helping with any questions. the older gentleman that did maintenance was very helpful but the younger man at the front desk couldn't be bothered.

Nice location & rooms were incredibly clean and well-kept. Overall experience was wonderful! Only negative thing to say is the bed was too firm for comfort.
