The room, housekeeping, and breakfast were very good. However, the fire alarm on 10/27/24 at about 2 am raised safety concerns. First, the alarm in the room sounded like the clock alarm. Would not have known that there was a fire alarm if not for the commotion in the hallway. Second, emergency lights in the hallway were not on. Thankfully, it was a false alarm. The fire alarm in the room did sounded briefly in the afternoon.

Maple Tree Inn was a lovely property. The bed was comfortable, the room was clean, the TV was large and there were several premium channels available. We had quite a journey to get to our room, but it was very nice.
What I liked less was that, although many reviews spoke of a generous and delicious breakfast, there were no gluten free offerings. The eggs were baked with other ingredients (not gluten free), there was no gluten free bread available, and even the breakfast meats were not gluten free. I have stayed at other hotels with much less to offer in other areas, but they offered boiled eggs, GF breakfast meats, and potatoes that weren't contaminated with gluten. I would not recommend this hotel for those with celiac disease or gluten intolerance. It was frustrating and too expensive an experience to not include a welcoming breakfast.

It’s good for short trips or business trips. Our key stopped working a day before checking out but the staff was helpful and made it work again. Breakfast is good.
