Helpful hints for your stay at Palazzo Salini
This is a lovely apartment and I hope these suggestions will help your stay. You MUST be in touch with the owners through Hotels.com otherwise you have NO way to get into the apartment. It is difficult to find as it is located in a pedestrian only zone. There are no cameras so driving is possible but we did not want to try that. We parked the car outside this area and stopped at a shop. The owner did not know of Palazzo Salini but he googled it and walked us to the B &B. The maid was there cleaning and let us in. Since we had given this time of our arrival perhaps this was not a coincidence? She was a very nice and helpful woman but spoke no English and we think called the owner. She helped us park in a spot we could use until the next day at 10:00. We set up breakfast for 8:30 but it never arrived until the last day. We moved our car to Garibaldi Square the next day and found the tourist office. Their map is absolutely essential and they told us of free parking through the Via Porta Romagna entrance outside the city's wall. This is not far from the apartment. It is not marked as free but the car was there when we were ready to leave so it was fine. The tourist office is in the Town Hall. Very nice and helpful people. We never did meet the owners so left the keys on the table when we left! The apartment has a full kitchen and large bedroom and full bath. It was very clean and well located once we got the car settled. There are nice restaurants near by and lovely walking.
