I felt like we were locals. A friendly neighbourhood. Our host met us, but then left us to enjoy our stay. Manicured lawns, excellent accommodation facilities, comfortable bed, great shower!!! Loved it. Thank you!

We loved the uniqueness- beautiful structures inside with a shower to die for. Beautiful island bench to sit at to eat your meals over looking the water and gardens. Close to Byron cbd but secluded in your own little nook. Check in was informative and staff were welcoming.

The pictures looked much better than the real property. It is a shed with a very simple shower, the show floor is not comfortable. The toilet is simple and crude. The carpet of bedroom is simple and crude. The wifi is very slow, no signal of my phone in the bedroom. The owner insisted in adding AUD50/night for a 4 years old child but no additional bed for him. Though in the advertisement, there is a sofa bed in it. But no sheets no quilt for the sofa bed. In short, the fee is too expensive for such an accomodation.

Pros: Laid back, quiet location.
Cons: Nothing we needed.
Location: Short walk to a good little Tavern with great meals. Next door was a fabulous Bakery with pastries and coffee. Short drive into Byron bay for dinner a
The owner Tarek, was most accommodating. Very friendly and helpful. nothing was too much trouble.
Gecko Shed was the perfect spot for our much needed break.

Posted 31 Mar 2016 on HotelsGreat house on secluded tropical property minutes from Byron. Quite at night. Great outside patio and garden area for your enjoyment. Shed has boutique feel with nice funky touches. Superfast Wifi and Foxtel if you want it! Kitchenette/BBQ is stocked enough for cooking a meal in or Byron is just a 5 minute drive away. Everything you need for a quite weekend away, but just enough mod-con's if you just can't quite detach...Host is very nice and accommodating.
