WORST HOTEL EVER. This place was not clean (floors were sticky), toilet wasn’t flushing as soon as we initially used it. We tried to ask staff to fix it and for two days, they did not even try to help us. We had to use the toilets in the lobby because it did not flush and kept overflowing. They were rude and careless. I talked to the staff nicely and three of the front desk ladies were being rude and speaking another language to each other. The doors did not lock and outlets were not even working. I have never stayed in a hotel as bad as this, this is the first time I ever had to write a review because it’s THAT bad.

Though I appreciated the friendly customer service and the upgrade to a Suite, the room was very cold when we got there. The shower water pressure was low. Not to mention how complicated it was to figure out how to turn the shower on and off. The bathroom needs ventilation. It smelled of mildew, the shower liner was too short, which led to water all over the floor. Overall though, very convenient location for our trip to Universal Studios. Neighborhood is rough. Lots of homeless sleeping on the ground.

The hotel wasn't horrible. However, it was under construction and we didn't get warning until after it was too late to change or cancel reservation. We had some strange plumbing issues and staff had to over the instruct us on how to fix the shower. It also had hidden fees. They did not take a deposit, which was nice, but there was an additional fee for parking and another weird service fee of 20$. So be prepared to pay another 55$ minimum out of pocket. They also made it sound like Universal Studios was in walking distance. This is not the case. It is over a 20 minute walk to the park. They did let us know that there is a shuttle you can walk to that is a little closer that would take us to the park, but they don't offer any shuttle services themselves. All in all it wasn't a bad hotel, but I think with hidden fees, not being in walking distance, no shuttle and the construction going on, I would have paid even a tad bit more to be at a different hotel. I would be lying if I said I wasn't slightly bummed about this hotel. Next time we will book with someone else.

I'm not sure how Expedia gave 3.5 stars to this property. Rooms were below average, more like motel rooms. Photos uploaded on Expedia are deceptive. Very few amenities. Property deserves 3 or maybe 2.5 stars so that people can take proper decision based on ratings/prices before booking the place. Parking was easy. Very close to Universal if someone is planning to visit.

We paid good money to stay in a hotel that was fairly close to Universal Studios. We expected to have a couch with two beds so our family could all sleep comfortably. We got into our room and there was chipped paint, dirty bathroom floor, the furniture had been taped together, the outlets didn’t have covers on them. When we went downstairs to eat breakfast, there wasn’t a decent breakfast option- there was a convenience store with terrible gas station food for us ago PURCHASE (after already spending $500 on two nights to stay) and just a tiny coffee carafe for us to serve ourselves. We wanted to relax by the indoor pool and it wasn’t heated nor was the pool area.. and it was about 45 degrees- so going into a cold pool at night was not what we hoped for. The lobby was clean and the staffing was nice at the front desk but I will not be staying there again. Not to mention there were homeless people all around.

We were not warned that the AC/Heating unit was not working. It was a low of 45 degrees and we were very cold. Apart from that the bedding was also terrible. One part of the bed sunk more than the other, and they did not have full sized pillows. Overall, it was an uncomfortable night. The place looks decent in the pictures but don’t expect to be comfortable.
