Great place - highly recommended
Posted 16 Sep 2018 on HotelsAmazing views and very clean and hospitable (and pet friendly) hotel. Would go there again. Road to hotel is a bit long and not recommended if tired, but the views... amazing!! Would go and may go there again.
Staff also very friendly.

Friendly and welcoming staff. Fantastic location for walking and biking - Overall great value - there was no air conditioning in our apartment as stated (only heating).

Away in the hills
Posted 17 Aug 2017 on HotelsThis is a basic family hotel up in the hills above Zagreb. Nothing flashy about the rooms. But there are great balconies with views of the trees surrounding the hotel. The drive was awesome to get there if you like windy switchbacks and views of the city below. It's calm and beautiful outside. There was a wedding when we got there with live music. It was late but the chef still made us dinner at the restaurant and we had a great time.

Very nice stay. We had the whole place to ourselves. The road getting there is very windy and narrow but we stayed another night because we liked it so much

really cool place
Posted 14 Jul 2016 on HotelsThis hotel was named for the famous olympic skier, Janica Kostelic. The translation is "Snow Queen." Very family friendly place which easily accommodates kids. Has a small playground outside where kids can play while parents enjoy dinner (good food) or a Croatian beer on the terrace. Has suite-style rooms with kitchenettes. FANTASTIC breakfast which may be cheaply procured even if it's not part of your reservation. Front desk clerks speak English. However, be prepared to spend about 20 minutes to a half hour getting there from Zagreb via a steep, narrow, and windy (but mercifully one-way) road. The mountain is enormous. Watch for bicyclists and joggers. From Zagreb, just follow the signs that say "Slijme." The view along the way is breathtaking.
