Hosts were very welcoming with plenty of suggestions of what to see and where to eat. House is stunning. Breakfast was delicious. Highly recommend Lilac Rose.

did not end up staying there .
very hard to find the place ,not inviting from the outside and no where to park ,
A tiny little plaque with the name of it on the fence .
no prior communication about where to park or how to get in the gate.

We were warmly welcomed by the owners. The place is lovely, clean and we had a comfortable stay. Also, our request for an early breakfast was promptly accommodated. The dogs are adorable and friendly. Will definitely return again.

A very lovely stay
Posted 19 Apr 2024 on HotelsDenis and Pam were lovely; we felt like guests in a beautiful home and not like we were in a hotel. The bed was comfortable, the room was well-appointed, and the bathroom was luxurious. The breakfast was outstanding, as was the hosts’ company, including two adorable dogs. It was a short drive to everything we wanted to see and do in Christchurch, and a bus stop was close by. We highly recommend a stay here.

This is probably the nicest B&B we’ve stayed at and the service and hospitality was first class. Plus, their rates are very reasonable.

Hosts were lovely and the room had everything we needed for our one-night stay. Had a great dinner at an Indian restaurant within a few minutes walk that host recommended.
