"It's an interesting hotel, utilising former French hospital buildings and containing an interesting musuem about the French sailors, mainly from Brittany who spent half the year in tough conditions fishing along the Icelandic coast. The receptionist was friendly, informative and welcoming. Our room was over the road (free parking outside) with a view over the fjord. The room was spacious and modern with good black out curtains and a fab view. We booked into the French restaurant withon the hotel and both enjoyed our meals. Breakfast was also enjoyable with a good range ot items which were stocked up regularly. Neither the hotel or the restaurant are cheap - nothing in Iceland is cheap! However it was a pleasant quiet night. NB Nothing to do with the hotel but the fish industry locally is still very much alive and so we had a strong whiff of fish when outside. Doesn’t take away from the great views and setting."

"We had an amazing stay in the quiet, clean, and well equipped property. Details like the hearty breakfast and opportunity to purchase handknit wool sweaters made by his grandma set this experience apart from our other stays. However the highlight was spending time with our host Siggy as we talked about sheep farming and Iceland's history. His warmth and deep knowledge about all things Icelandic gave us a greater appreciation for the country. "

"A very traditional look and feeling that is very appealing. Very beautiful area to take pictures. Comfortable bed, nice breakfast place and restaurant. "

"We were four women traveling together sharing one cottage. These were very cute both from the inside and outside. It was not too large or too small for four. The view outside was also very beautiful. We only spent one night. Compared to other places that we stayed at i had expected maybe some shampoo/soap and coffee/tea. But it was fine for us since we were there for only one night. "

"Property is good, nice and quiet even it is a bit away from the front desk. The gentlemen at the front desk was very helpful and he provided us with a few items we needed."

"Clean accommodations! There is a brewery right across the street!! I had a little difficulty with the keyless pads but they did work. I walked to the airport and to the lighthouse. The mini market had lots of varieties of foods, children’s toys, and even ice cream. "
