It was peaceful & quiet but needed some maintenance done. The door to front verandah was to hard to slide & switch for bathroom heater was not working.
Otherwise i was well equipped and right on the dam. We were there during the drought so it was not at its best. A nice stay for a couple of quiet nights.

Unique and remote location, perfect for a quiet retreat. Only 7 cottages along the dam perimeter, each with water views and perfect for kayaking etc; indoor fireplace and outdoor firepit as well as indoor spa bath and onsite swimming pool. Plenty to keep the children occupied! Also don't forget to bring their bikes. Comfortable 2-3 bedroom cabins with all linen provided; clean but could benefit from more crockery/cutlery otherwise dishwashing after every meal.

Pros: Location, cleanliness, spacious
We had a couple of days stay in the 2 bedroom unit. It was very clean and spacious, we enjoyed camp fire in the fire pit. It's located next to Storm King dam with great water views. It is a bit removed from the town, but we liked it this way.

Posted 28 Jun 2018 on WotifThe 3 bedroom cabin was located away from the tourist park and was quiet and serene complete with wild rabbits and birds. It was so well equiped that we ended up buying produce and cooking dinner at home after being out during the day sightseeing or bushwalking. The kids enjoyed collecting firewood for the outdoor fire pit which they roasted marshmallows after dinner for dessert. Our 3yr old loved collecting big rocks and throwing them off the jetty to make big splashes. They are all asking when we can go back again! I only wish that they had reverse cycle air conditioners as we found that we were a little cold on the -1deg night even with the fireplace on. We will definitely be back!

Pros: We had no TV reception so called reception who sent someone straight away to fix it. We also wanted more firewood and they obliged without hesitation
Cons: There were no instructions on how to use the appliances (incl coffee machine). We also took our own coffee machine as it wasn't advertised.
Location: Good views
