We love Sedgefield and the Dun Cow has been a really great place to visit. The staff are all friendly and can’t do enough to assist you. Even rang me to make sure we knew how to find them. However the property needs a refresh the rooms are looking tired and so are the public areas.

Posted 23 May 2024 on HotelsVery pleasant stay. Staff very friendly and made me feel welcome. Room was spotlessly clean but dated with loads of character. Some noise from the bar downstairs, but I wasn't bothered by that as you would expect it being a busy restaurant on a main road. Very quiet after closing time and road was quite as well. Good value for money.

Great stay at the Dun Cow Inn. Just what we needed after our wedding at Hardwick Hall hotel. About 15 min walk from there. Beds were comfy, shower was nice and big and the full English was freshly made and nice and hot. Good amount of parking and all at a decent price. Staff were courteous and friendly. So yep excellent and would stay again if in the area.
