When I got to the hotel there was a sign on the door that said the property was closed and it was unsafe to enter. I was very disappointed that no one from the property or Expedia let me know that the hotel had shut down. I book rooms in July and the property was shut down in September by the city and the police department. All hotels in the town were sold out, luckily, I was able to visit with Wyndham directly and they took care of my group at another property. This is lesson learned to book directly with the hotel properties. Now I have to try and get my money back from Expedia or the closed hotel. Very sketchy deal!

Hotel condemned; poor customer service
Posted 18 Sep 2023 on HotelsWhen we arrived at the Baymont by Wyndham Stillwater, the hotel was locked up and signs were posted on the door that the building was being condemned by the City of Stillwater. After 1 1/2 hours on the phone with Hotels.com customer service reps -- who continually kept trying to call the hotel even after I told them the line was disconnected and no one was going to answer - I was advised to go back to the hotel at 3:00 p.m., since that was check-in time. I was told I was probably going to be charged a penalty fee because I didn't cancel my reservation ahead of time. A BIG HUH??? Is this for real?
FINALLY and I mean FINALLY. I was given a refund!

This property was closed for renovations, and you are asking about our check in? We need a full refund considering this place was closed when we went to check in.

Not the best
Posted 24 Jul 2023 on HotelsPool has been broken for a while but was not told til the day after we got there when we asked when it was going to open. That is the reason we picked that hotel, because our friends were gone for the day and we was going to swim. Instead we sit in the room and looked at each other. Could only watch netflix on tv, there were no channels to watch.

Not The Best Stay
Posted 23 Jul 2023 on HotelsWe were visiting family, upon checking in the 2 ladies at the front desk didn’t bother to give us any type of notice that the POOL wasn’t available. We got to our room, got our kids ready to go to the indoor pool and it was locked. When I asked about it they said “someone was supposed to have came and fixed it and no one showed up”. The lady continued to place blame on the “manager” who checked us in for not making us aware of the pool not running. By that evening my husband went to go and get ice and ICE machine was broken. We had room 159, and the bathroom light wouldn’t turn off. This experience has definitely caused us to call from now on due how upsetting this whole situation was.

What was not disclosed; the property is a MOTEL. Wyndham should be ashamed to pit their name on this property. They charged me $429 a night for two rooms (price goughing) because its in a 'college town'. My guest and daugher were too afraid to stay there. Appeared unclean and unsafe. Basically it was an 'econo lodge that adopted the name change. Would not recommend!
