First room had a clogged commode first thing . I tried to unplug it myself and couldn’t so I asked for another room. Same room different number. I wanted to upgrade but he wouldn’t let me because I had got my room thru Expedia. I offered to pay for the difference in the room and he still said because of booking with Expedia. I didn’t know also I had to pay for my Second fur baby to stay. Which was ok. I wouldn’t stay if I couldn’t keep my babies with me. The place has went downhill steadily . The second room had our fire alarm was hanging off the wall. But we enjoy Red Roof but we may look at other areas on our travel thru Statesville N.C. Instead of leaning off of interstate 40,

There were cockroaches all over the room crawling. The bed was like a rock and the two pillows included were horrible. The smell of Fabulosa did not cover whatever was rotten smelling in the room. I would not recommend or stay again.

We stayed here for the Renaissance Festival. The hotel staff at the front was awesome. My husband was greeted and he said the employee up front was nice and hilarious. The room itself was below average. It smelled upon arrival. The comforters should be replaced if they have black marks on them. The sheets themselves were clean. The bathroom was really unclean. We found lots of hair on the floor, in the shower, and toilet. It also needs a really solid deep clean. Floors were grimy. There were no cups for the coffee machine, no sugar, or stirring sticks which feels like basic amenities if you have a coffee maker. The beds were really comfy though so we were thankful for a good night's sleep and that was a huge plus. For an overnight stay it was fine. Just please clean better!

Fridge had no freezer and was not available on every room. Very noisy. Staff were very friendly.
