Friendly staff, clean room, good beer at the pub. A bit expensive considering the bathroom and toilet are shared

It was very clean lovely linen and extra pillows. The bed was very comfy.
The stairs were steep and difficult for anyone who has a disability.the lighting could of been brighter however although breakfast is not included it was great value for money and a handy location.

Like many other great hotels in our ancient town, our accommodation is housed in a characterful Georgian former coaching inn; all these beautiful listed buildings of course retain their original and wonderful features/staircases; ours lead to our peaceful and warm rooms!

I would say the room for the hotel was nice however the description is not very accurate. It isn’t that clear that the bathrooms are shared and also the facilities are not up to scratch for example the property lists ‘designer toiletries’ but these aren’t provided.
For the price of the property I would expect a higher standard.

Given our central location we believe we offer fantastic value where our nightly rates are concerned, as we're sure you will have noted when researching Stamford.
Whilst all room facilities are clearly stated pre-booking and again after confirmation, unfortunately we cannot write our own text on booking sites to stress any particular points. Hotels are obliged to provide information within the sites' 'templates' and we are sorry that all was not clear to you on this occasion ...
Concerning toiletries, always available to all our lovely guests is a selection of shower gel, hand-wash, shampoo/conditioner, deodorant, shaving foam, shower caps, cotton wool, vanity kits, soap, sewing kits and sanitary supplies; all high quality branded items.
In-room facilities include branded tea, coffee and hot chocolate, herbal tea, biscuits and bottled water.
We really look forward to welcoming all our valued customers in 2020 and do wish you successful travels ahead at lots more hotels that may provide you with high standards at great prices! Best wishes,

The property was lovely, the room was great and the bed was comfortable. We stayed in the family room. Unfortunately it was a shared bathroom - we didn’t know this, I don’t believe it was obvious enough when we booked (I would not have booked it had I known the bathroom was shared). The bathroom in itself was good, but not advertised appropriately. The staff were great and very helpful.

Our family room is a large room with two double beds. Along with quality linens/towels, branded hot drinks and bottled water, anyone comparing rates in the area we're sure would agree that the nightly rate of £95 (or just £65 for a double room), offers superb value given our central Stamford location ...
Whilst all room information is clearly shown at the time of research/booking and then again on the booking confirmation page, we should clarify that hotels are obliged to provide their information within the framework/template of options given to them by the on-line booking sites, so unfortunately we cannot simply write our own text to make one thing or another more obvious.
