Great Location, friendly staff
Posted 27 Sep 2021 on HotelsGreat location, mid range hotel within walking distance of everything. Parts of hotel getting a bit worn is it only opens for peak season. Staff friendly, breakfast good (buffet) with plenty of choice

Very sad hotel, in need of complete redecoration and modernisation. the bar never opened and wallpaer was hanging off.
Rumour has it that it will be closed soon and converted into apartments.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. I told them in advance that I was traveling with a bicycle and wanted a safe place to leave it. I was allowed to store it in my room which helped me to keep it safe on my trip. They even gave me a ground floor room which was very helpful with my bike and heavy luggage.

The beds and pillows were old/beyond their reasonable life/incredibly uncomfortable
The baggage store was left unlocked both times we tried to use it
The breakfast was amazing, with staff who were very jolly and went out of their way to help
The hotel is very near the bus station, beaches and town centre

Breakfast was fantastic. Rooms clean and spacious. Doesn't do evening meals which made it difficult as most other places were full beyond capacity

Posted 10 Aug 2021 on HotelsPaid for breakfast but they would not honour my booking. Tired grubby premises that is really just a block of poor rooms. Food, bar and pool are all down the road at another hotel. The two stars rating at the front door seems overly generous.

Posted 5 Aug 2021 on HotelsBooked this hotel with breakfast. Hotel informed me that Hotels.com had booked room only . So, as a customer showing the hotel confirmation of my booking which included breakfast they refused to honour this, it was left up to me to try and sort it out . Thee days into my holiday I gave in, still not getting anywhere with hotels.com or the Stafford. The only way for us to get breakfast was to pay the Stafford £20, we went elsewhere.
So the Stafford and hotels.com don't give a **** about customer care.
Hotel is also quite grubby took them 4 days to get room cleaned after asking. Room sadly in need of update . lots of stains and mould on ceiling, however bed was fine clean and comfortable.
