"The property is right on a very busy main road, the main bedroom is at the front so traffic noise is an issue. The curtains aren’t blackout curtains so street lights are an issue and one being faulty and strobing intermittently didn’t help. The exterior of the front could definitely do with some tlc as well. "We stayed with a friend and her 4 year old - the folks running the farm were super friendly, and the 4 yo is still talking about how she misses Ben & Bob (the farm Collies). The cottage is on a working farm, and has been nicely restored, though it's clearly an old building, and I must have banged my head *every* time I went to load the fire in the kitchen! "Overall the property was pretty good, it just lacked a few basic things - Washing up sponge and some laundry detergent. Being pretty isolated, these would've been really useful once arriving. The upstairs was really nice, I loved watching the lambs across the road and it gets lots of afternoon sun. "

"Great stay at The Barn, very comfortable and clean. Owners kindly provided tea, coffee, milk, cookies and a bottle of white wine chilled in the fridge!
