Very bad experience at this property the food quality and service is extremely poor the staff behaviour is not good aswell won’t come here anymore

The Chinar open garden Restaurant was my worst experience ever. In the evening its very cold in Srinagar and i was with my 5 year old Daughter and 11 Month old Son, I asked for Indore dining but they denied and said we have only this Operational. Also their food presentation is not good, the experience was like i am eating in a Dhaba. Also i got cats over their, one of them eaten my desert and ran away. i will never recommend this property to my friends if they want to eat in their restaurant.

Need to improve restaurant and food offering, and up staff training. They were very friendly, just that they need better training.

However the service is very slow and bad.
The rooms are very average and not worth the cost. The Taj is much btr.

A palace in winter
Posted 23 Feb 2018At the time of my stay in Lalit (February) there weren’t many guests at all but they still ran the hotel in full. Nearly all staff knew my name or who I was and service was personalized which was nice. I was sick with flu most of my stay unfortunately but the comfortable room and kind staff helped to make the stay more pleasant. The facility is amazing, like a movie set, yet functional. I highly recommend.

Good property, not value for money, dull ambience
