This is a great little flat. Yes, it’s cozy and the stairs are narrow and steep, but that was no surprise and definitely manageable. Worth it to stay within the palace walls!

Thoughtful attention to renovating such an old building to keep it authentic but practical. Excellent location in the heart of the old town, comfortable and homey space. Our host was lovely, very helpful and accommodating.

This is a wonderful location in the heart of the Diocletian Palace walls. The two level room was cozy and full of character. Irina was a wonderful host and gave us lots of great tips for area attractions and dining. We would love to stay here again.

Wonderful experience staying here!! Authentic Croatian experience staying WITHIN Diocletians Palace in a 400 year old apartment. Only negatives is there is a city bell that goes off at 6 am everyday and the bathroom had a strange smell- although our family staying a couple blocks down from us had the same comment about their apartment so it could be a city plumbing issue.

The location is excellent. But the excess to the property is not easy, as the directions are confusing. Some of the electric sockets are not working. The bathroom is way too small. I hit my head twice. I will not recommend it to my friends.

Dear Arthur, I certainly thank you for the review, but I would like to clarify a few points. Namely, our house with apartments dates from the 16th century and even some parts of the base of the building from the 13th-14th centuries. And the part of the city where you stayed is called the GHETTO! You can ask "why"? because behind the walls of the city there were always wars and people wanted to live within the walls of the palace, because they were more protected and safer that way. And that's why every free part of the street was turned into a building, and they were small, narrow and tall.... We are very proud and happy that with the midnight of our prominent architect, we managed to preserve the spirit of the house, preserve the original walls, beams, entrances,...Anyway, believe you have nice time in Split. Irina was a great host and gave us a good overview of all the amenities this beautiful property offered which made for an amazing first trip to Split for us. Very highly recommended
