Friendly and helpful owners in a characteristic building and its properties. Breakfast coordinate with an App. Wifi works well. Direct surroundings 70s shopping center. The nature parks in the vicinity are good.

Absolutely Love The Maples
Posted 12 Jun 2024 on HotelsAt the recommendation of a local, I stayed at The Maples for a couple of nights. The owners of the B&B were attentive and extremely friendly. The room was quiet and offered a lovely view of the nearby Anglican Church. The windows opened to allow fresh air too.
Breakfast each morning was amazing. Delicious and right-sized portions to satiate the appetite. Everything was perfectly cooked.

I was, of course, disappointed not to have en suite facilities but I booked late and knew the situation. My room was small but exceptionally well equipped and comfortable. The staff could not have been more accommodating and made me feel very comfortable.

Good Value and excellent service
Posted 7 Jun 2019 on HotelsA warm and friendly welcome from when I first arrived, with a clean and comfortable room. Use of a fridge was a good touch. I had an on-suite room which worked out well. Breakfast was good, and served on a hot plate (the little things make an impression). Will definitely book there again when staying in the area.
Parking can be an issue due to the restricted amount of space available. However, the owners were very helpful with offering alternative options when needed.

Lovely Hotel Elizabeth and Martin were the perfect hosts, nothing was too much trouble. After reading the reviews we decided to book this hotel, the breakfast was every bit as good as the reviews said it was fantastic. We shall certainly be booking 'The Maples' again the next time we stay in Southampton. The room was lovely and clean and comfortable, even handmade cookies with the recipe which was a lovely touch. The Victorian Ferry is a few minutes walk from the hotel. Thanks Elizabeth and Martin for all your help, to get the most out of our short stay.

it was a last minute, very last minute booking due to mistake by me. I was just glad to get a hotel in the Hythe ( Southampton) area. It was a small single room very clean and tidy but with shared facilities which I am not a great advocate of. Staff were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was excellent. Due to the shared facilities issue I would not use the hotel again. This was my main issue everything else was fine

Excellent hotel

Pros: Very pleasant and helpful owners/staff
Cons: Parking, but the site itself is quite small and there is public parking nearby
Location: The New Forest! Plenty of good restaurants nearby.
A good place to stay with easy access to the New Forest

Welcoming and friendly B&B in Blythe

Pros: Elizabeth and Martin helped make our stay in Hythe very memorable.
Location: Very close to the New Forest and other attractions
We had a lovely stay at the Maples during our visit to Hythe.
We were made welcome from the moment we arrived and nothing seemed like too much bother. The Hotel is in a beautiful location and very close to local amenities.
It proved to be a great base for our visits within the local area.
The breakfast selection and quality of produce used is excellent. The hotel is very clean and the room was comfortable and pleasantly decorated. Lovely home made cookies were in our room which was a very nice touch
