"Just finished staying at Alpine View. Location was great as it is out of town by 5 min. Quite and a nice place to unwind after a long day. Was looking forward to the hot tub but found out there is none. Pictures used in write up are from the previous owner. Breakfast was nothing to write home about."

"Exceptionally friendly and helpful host. Although the property was on a busy road the bedrooms are all at the back, so noise is not a problem. Very generous breakfast eaten outside when weather permits."

"Stayed 3 nights at Annick House. Felt like our house from the start. Just safe, comfortable and convenient. Great hosts with history to Nelson. Fabulous fresh breakfast.Nick helped us tour, walking routes and taxis. Had great beer at his pub! Little Thai takeaway near his house had fresh dinners at reasonable price. Had our first NZ pie at downtown bakery.. too good. Nelson will be hard to beat."

"Large but still slightly cluttered room. Hotplate and small kitchenette but no sink (plastic bowl) and a fold out table. Freeview TV. Suitable for a night or two but less so for a long stay. Two Fat Possums nearby does wonderful takeout Pizza but very popular on weekend for dine in. Bakery in same shopping centre is superb."

"Beautiful property, very tranquil, and with a lovely quirky interior design, an enjoyable place to stay. The hosts are a great couple - friendly and helpful. There’s no breakfast menu so you need to talk through what you would like in advance, especially if you’ve any allergies, intolerances or dislikes, and do ask for everything you want straight away when you are initially served.
