"Amazing hotel - stayed in a Junior Suite with Balcony so I had a view of the sea. Room was a great size with all the amenities needed - I would have liked a bath but this is not enough of a downside to rate this stay as anything less then 5 stars. There is an issue with the lifts at the time of my visit so it meant that there was a large delay in them arriving, but as the hotel is going through refurbishments i'm sure this is being addressed. As a Solo Traveller I did find that the staff in the lounge didn't approach me to take an order as they assumed "I was waiting for someone else" so I would recommend training the staff that women do have a glass of wine alone to read a book in 2025, but other then this the staff were friendly and professional "

"Only stayed for a night, but all was well. All staff were down to earth and easy to talk to, bed was very comfortable, bathroom a good size. Had all the regular amenities and it was located right in the middle of town next to the pier. Only downside is the lack of parking, we used the NCP nearby, which can be costly."

"The hotel was so conveniently situated, parking was under the hotel and discounted if you were staying. Hotel was clean and comfortable, staff were very friendly and helpful! Would definitely recommend "

"Although the hotel is currently going through some refurbishment the temporary reception worked well, the temporary dining room and bar although small still offered excellent service. Food was excellent, free hot drinks machine at reception was also very welcoming. Our only negative, we asked twice for an extra pillow which never arrived. "

"This is the second time we have stayed but the first time we had breakfast the food was lovely only we would of preferred it if the tea and coffee were served to the table as we were backwards and forwards to the buffet I know this is a very small issue and slightly petty but it would of been nice staff fabulous will definitely stay again hotel spotless and we had a lovely big room we will return and use the spa thank you "

"Wanted to get away for a cheap winter weekend break and this hotel and the price were perfect. Positioned opp the pier, next to the town centre, thus big old palatial Victorian hotel was perfect. There might not be any major thrills but at less than £50 per night incl breakfast, you really can’t go wrong! And the staff were lovely, the rooms clean and the whole hotel, very warm, which was most appreciated on a bitterly cold, but beautiful romantic tinged weekend. Thankyou. "
