I only stay for one day on a 13 day vacation.
The power went out for more than 12 hours. Furthermore, there was no plumbing when the power went off. No ability to wash your hands or flush the toilet. It felt like being in a “HotBox”!!
The hostess said that the power was out city wide, However, in town there was no problem with the power..
I chose this location because of its reviews. Clearly they are not being honest about the reviews..

Unfortunately, we did have a power outage as the electric company was installing a new transformer. The outage lasted longer than expected. Our back up system failed at approximately 8 pm. It was a terrible, frustrating night as we awaited the city to restore our electricity. I informed you that I was not sure when it would return and told you to return to your friend's home that had backup power. You chose to stay. Then I offered you a refund. The power did come on at 8 am. Unfortunately, I cannot control the electric company and explained this to you. Again, I apologise for these issues. We are hoping that the newly installed transformers will help with the city's electrical issues. Our backup system has been upgraded as well.

Nikki is a wonderful host who welcomed us and made us feel like family. We stayed for 11 days and felt right at home. Clean linens and towels. Excellent staff and breakfast. We would highly recommend and would return again!! Bella was an added bonus, who walked with us to the beach. Gated, secure and safe!!

Peaceful and Relaxing
Posted 8 Aug 2024 on HotelsNikki’s bed and breakfast is calm and peaceful. I loved our bungalow and enjoyed our time in the pool. Very relaxing and since I’m from the surrounding areas we never did enjoy a breakfast there. I found it a bit pricey but if you are new to the area and scared to travel then it’s appropriately priced. I’d love to return here

Excellent place to go !!
Posted 11 Jul 2024 on HotelsWe spend a week in the "Garden by the Sea" bed and breakfast place. It is an excellent place to rest or as we did to use as place to move around visiting different locations in RD. Breakfast is very good, owner and staff are always ready to help you. It is just one block from a quiet beach, and 15-20 minutes away by car of more crowded but beautiful beaches.

Peaceful and private ❤️
Posted 2 Apr 2024 on HotelsSuper relaxing. Super fun. This is definitely a nice location ,if you did wanna bring your family with your kids you can. It’s about 25 minutes from the airport with traffic. Definitely close not too far from a big city, but not exactly where everything is super close, but there is a nice little private beach walking distance from this day and I think that is very great for people who are not interested in traveling the town, Nikki is super sweet, super attentive and is extremely helpful . it definitely is a little paradise away from all the chaotic that you may get from being at a resort for that I chose this place for me and my fiancé. We had a nice reasonable extremely accommodating stay while we adventured out for most of our days. The local security is also extremely nice. Everyone in the area is super welcoming. If you stay here, I would definitely recommend a vehicle just in case you need a late night drink or something you’re able to hit the stores earlier in the day. Awesome stay!

Host is very nice.but didn't like that this small B@Bl is in an isolated place , nothing to do in or around hotel.. too boring. I was taken to see my room and I left to my car and did not return. even though I didn't stay not even 1 night I didn't care to lose the $414 that I paid. they have a no refund policy.if you want to have fun don't stay here,if you want peace and quiet stay here.

Hola. As Edwin states: "he didn't stay". Problem was Edwin was looking for prostitution out his front door (or how he put it "fun"). If Edwin had read anything about our property, prior to making a non-refundable reservation, he would have known we are NOT downtown. We are in a quiet, secure, lovely garden area away from the noise and unfortunate local women who must sell sex in order to survive in this poor and beautiful country. Please do not stay with us if this is your reason for visiting this amazing country. Edwin. I understand that sex is important to you and finding satisfaction with young women who don't speak your language is a choice you have made. However, in the future perhaps you should research where you are staying before booking.Thank you for your review
