This location is hard to find, as I had to call host and he met us outside to show us the way in - I would have never found it on my own. My only complaint is parking. there is a paid lot behind hotel that charged 36 euros upon departure. however, a sign in hotel indicated parking for 15 euros. I did ask host if I was parked in correct place so I was surprised by the high cost...

"Grand Marina is an old fishing village in Sorrento. It is beautiful and also still a working port where fisherman unload at night sometimes right in front of your table. This room overlooks the marina. It also has a very comfortable memory foam mattress. Please note there are 55 stairs to this room. To get to the main part of the town of Sorrento you need to walk 15 minutes uphill. We still loved being by the beach and we did an ocean kayaking trip that was fun!"

"We really loved our stay at mistral suites. It was difficult to find, but the staff stayed with us on the phone and even sent someone out to the street to help us find it. The room was perfect. You could not beat the view of the sea, and Mount Vesuvius. The traffic in Sorrento was a nightmare for walking, but once you got to the town Square it was much better. I would definitely stay there again. We felt safe behind, locked gate and a locked front door. "
