Super clean and cozy
Posted 29 Oct 2020 on HotelsIt was super clean and comfortable. I think it was remodeled not too long ago. We have place to go when we visit Sokcho or Sulak mountain. I will recommend my friends to go to Hotel Amaranth.

Spacious carpark with adequate parking. Hotel looks rather old but it feels clean enough. Location along a main road can be a little noisy if sleeping with windows open, however short drive to either Seoraksan or to Sokcho town.
Main thing we didn’t like about the room is the shower area. The shower area has no shower curtain, so the entire bathroom is wet after our bath. Small towels and shampoo, bath soap, toothbrushes provided.
Overall, satisfied with the two nights stay. We like the location. Bed was comfortable.

It was a cheap taxi to the nearby national park. It was not close to many stores and the restaurant didn't offer too much. I think if we had a car it would have been a much better location for us as it was a bit out of town and had beautiful views. The staff was super friendly and accommodating.
