Cozy, convinient and fine restaurant

Posted 12 Sep 2017 on HotelsRoom was simple but comfortable. Had dinner at hotel's restaurant - excellent meal - a good memory from our trip - really enjoyed it. Would stay again anytime.

Definitely Overrated

Pros: wifi was okay
Cons: everything else
Hotel facing the street with no apparent parking lot or entrance. Found gravel road to the back and were shocked as we pull in the back by the hotel's dilapidated exterior conditions. Unfriendly woman told us to park there and walk around to the front to check in. Man proprietor was more friendly, but woman definitely made us feel unwelcome. Not surprising that we were the only guests at the hotel. Arranged to have the included breakfast at 7:30 instead of 8am in order to catch early ferry at Trelleborg. Room okay. Hotel and grounds around the hotel looked neglected. Found out that night that that we needed to report earlier than expected to the ferry terminal. So we planned to ask the proprietors at 7:15am to just give us a yogurt or roll to take with us. Got up early, waited until 7:15am and proprietors were still not up. So we left without getting the breakfast that we paid for. Felt pretty ripped off. Apparently it was late in the season (Sep16th) and they were tired of "guests". Checked the internet and the hotel showed it was fully booked for all further dates, in spite of the fact that we and maybe one other party were the only ones there that night. I guess these places say they are fully booked when they don't want to put up with any more "guests". I wish they had decided to do that one day earlier, so we wouldn't have booked there and gotten such a bad impression of Sweden. "We tink we not go to Sweden no more".

This house has a history of 330 years, so I am sorry if you expected a new built building. There is a parking lot on the backside and also across the street. We always say you may park on the backside if you like or in the front across the street.
On the countryside in september there is a low season that´s why we have closed for holiday from sep 17 and 2 weeks ahead. This looks like the hotel is fullybooked on Expedia.
About the breakfast we do remember you, you asked for breakfast at 07.30 and when breakfast was made and we opened the door you where not there. We waited until 08.00 o'clock and the realized that you left the building. We live in the house and in every room there is information about this building, the history and also our phonenbr. There is also a bell on the hotelldoor to ring if you need some assistance. So if you had called us to say you wanted breakfast 07.15 it would haven ready for you then. But how should we know that you wanted earlier breakfast than agreed?

Good tourist location.
Posted 24 Jun 2014 on HotelsIt is an historic building and, while the accommodation was quite modern, it could be upgraded some more. The food was fairly expensive but very good indeed. The location was just perfect for touring Southern Sweden.

Excellent service
Posted 16 May 2013 on HotelsWe only stayed for one night as we were touring Denmark and Sweden but our room was very good and the owners were extremely helpful. It was a shame the restaurant was closed on the night we were there as this looks like it is a feature of the hotel and the breakfast was excellent.

If you like the countryside this is your place!

Pros: The exterior is very beautiful, and the 3 huge dining rooms are nicely decorated.
Cons: Our room.
Location: Countryside
We visited this hotel at the end of a very long winter. And I am sure that during the busy season the place is hopping!
The restaurant was closed while we were there and finding food was a problem because the hotel is out in the countryside and the small town did not have any eating establishments. We did have a nice breakfast each morning. But we probably would not have booked if we had known the restaurant was closed during the week.
Our room was very poorly appointed - a hodge podge of curtains, rugs, bedspread. Our room needs redecorating for sure. We ran out of toilet paper and had to take a roll from the public access WC in the hallway.

Thank you for your review! Our restaurant hours is clearly stated on our hompepage and this should also be informed in the information about our hotel when you make your reservation. The owners live in the house and in every room there is a phone nbr to call if you need something, for example towels, toilet paper or something to drink.
