Tv only in shared room. Nothing to do in the town.

Hi Megan, I'm very sorry that you didn't find anything to do in Saudarkrokur. I wish that you would have sent me a message as I would had been more than happy to help you find interesting things to do or places to visit. At the guesthouse there is also a booklet that shows most of the activities available in the area.
If we are fortunate enough to have you visiting our town again I would really like to recommend 1238.is a historical exhibition based on the Icelandic Sagas, also the Puffin and friends exhibition about the nature and wildlife in the North (find it on facebook) just to name two.

Super clean and the staff was so sweet! Loved how well the place was put together and all the amaneties it had to offer in the kitchen!

Impersonal. When we reached the place, doors had combination and no one was available to help. Lucky, lady at the shop helped us to call the owner and got room number, combination number to enter. Waited outside in cold weather. Understand that we were international traveler and didn't have local phone.Room was at the second floor. Just two thin towels, no napkins, no wash clothes. Only two cheap plastic hangers. Just one of the worst experience that we had in Iceland. I would not stay there again.

We do send all necassary check in information to our guests before their arrival but maybe something went wrong in your case and if so I apologize for that.

Standard clean room in a non-touristy town
Posted 5 Sep 2018 on HotelsWe stayed here since it is only a short drive to two of the hot pot's that we wanted to try. The room was standard and small, but worked for our purposes. The shared bathroom was large as was the shared kitchen. The town had a few small shops (they all close by 6pm) and a few restaurants and bars. It has a working town feel (it's not touristy).

Too much work for no pay off
Posted 2 Sep 2018 on HotelsCouldn’t stay here bc nobody answered the phone number provided. They have no front desk so you’re asked to call ahead. And we never got to speak to anyone. So we were forced to stay elsewhere that night. Super frustrating
