the staff truly made it special. From the warm welcome at check-in to the attentive service throughout, they went out of their way to ensure I had a great experience. Especially the Egyptian staff who helped us and talked Arabic with us. They were always helpful, friendly, and professional. I highly recommend this hotel and look forward to returning!

Our stay at this “5-star hotel” was extremely disappointing, with service, cleanliness, and amenities resembling a 1- or 2-star experience. Despite confirming an early check-in due to our morning arrival, we were charged €300 for room access upon arrival, only gaining entry after disputing the charge.
The family room, though spacious, had major issues: insufficient beds, broken heating, and poorly sealed windows allowing cold drafts and street noise. Requests for extra blankets took nearly two hours to fulfill, and maintenance staff could not fix the cold, forcing us to sleep under multiple blankets.
Cleanliness was lacking, with food stains, dust, chipped paint, and torn blankets. The bathroom had black mold, a sewage smell, an unsteady toilet, and remnants from previous guests, including toenails in the shower. Staff dismissed our complaints, attributing the poor state to it being a “family room.”
The pool area, a main reason for our stay, was equally neglected. The water was frigid (around 19°C), and hazards like broken tiles, a loose ladder, and a floating light posed safety risks. Staff disregarded these concerns, insisting the hotel met “5-star standards.”
Overall, poor conditions, dismissive staff, and lack of solutions left us thoroughly disappointed. A refund feels justified, as this hotel did not meet even basic expectations. We would not recommend it to anyone.

Dear Nigar,We regret the issues that you have encountered but kindly be informed that we never confirm early check ins as it always depends on hotel;s availability. Otherwise our heating system is working perfectly so accordingly we did not fully understand why you had to use several blanckets. Otherwise, the pool tempreture is 28 degrees which is the standard measure to prevent developing bacterias.

The hotel is listed as a 5-star on Expedia, but it barely qualifies as a 2-star. The furniture is old, the mattress is hard, and the location is difficult to access due to heavy traffic. There are many other hotels in the area that offer better quality and hospitality. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone.

not good hotel before few years was hotel better
Posted 24 Oct 2023 on HotelsI didn't like the hotel at all. It does not deserve to be a 5-star hotel. The bed was old and my back hurt in the morning. I told the workers there, but nothing changed, and it was not clean 4 years ago. The hotel was wonderful, better and clean, and there was a Turkish girl working at the reception. She was rude and not polite. She did not smile and she wasent smile and did not receive customers with a smile in the morning like the Turks pepole in general do not smile. I did not like this behaviour I left the Mercure Hotel before my scheduled departure time and booked a new reservation in another five-star hotel, and I went to the St. Regis Hotel in Nisantasi, and there is much better service and excellent. The staff at St. Regis are very helpful, polite and kind you can check that I been at st.regis hotel I enjoy my stay there ...
