The family here made this place one of our favorite stops on our three-week tour of Europe. I hope they never change.

This place was closed for the day, Thursday, my reservation date. Both the front and side doors had signed posted in German stating RUHE TAG. In german that means closed inspite of my reservation. Repeated knocking on both the front and side doors received no respone. Avoid this place at all cost.

We arrive to the hotel less than one hour after we made the reservation, they didn’t even open the door or answer when we were ringing and there was a light in a room just above the main door and in the lobby, then her neighbors called her by telephone and I talked to her, she was very rude and just told me, that it was Sold Out, good night and hanged the telephone call, it was impossible because when I made the reservation there were 2 available rooms and in that moment that she just cut the called, I checked and still one available room. Besides other thing, when I looked to the hotel, we were searching for a hotel in Fulda and we had to drive 38 kilometers from Fulda downtown. Please take that hotel out of the Orbitz list. I have been using Orbitz from long time, please refund my money in to my account and answer this letter directly to me, thanks a lot.

Posted 3 Aug 2018 on HotelsAnnoyed that the large balcony room we had booked given to someone else. We were offered an inferior room at a reduced price otherwise we would have to go to another hotel. Accepted the room as after travelling all day couldn't face starting out again. The room was accessed from the owners office through a vertical blind where clothes hanging space was provided for us with no doors. However the bedroom and bathroom both had locks on doors. The bed was an extending single making a double and was not comfortable. Only one glass and one bedside light provided. On both days of our stay the restaurant was closed which meant a drive out to eat.

A gem above Zuntersbach.

Pros: The staff hospitality.
While tracking my ancestors who lived in Zuntersbach between around 1770 and 1900, i came across this lovely small pension, overlooking the town of Zuntersbach. Great hospitality. Very nice garden. Free wireless, parking and glass water in the rooms. Extremely reasonable price. Light meals prepared fresh at the pension are amazing. Bottom line: a gem!
