Good short-stay inn

The free breakfast was okay, but I expected that boiled eggs would be served because it was in the featured photos.But the staff was very accommodating. As for the room, the upper bunk is too high.

Terrible property

Property was well below par. Pictures of the property on the website are miss leading. Ceiling had mold and rooms were very dirty.

Full of noise during night at it is located at the roadside and bus stop station. The blanket provided is light blanket. Website stated buffet breakfat. In fact just unlimited white bread provided. It is advise to stated breakfast provided instaead of buffet breakfast. Stated hair dryer provided (on request). In fact is provided but with charging. The property condition is so old and and door is lock using key instead of card. The door condition make me feel unsafety. The light in the room quite dim. Hopelfully all of this can be improved.

False advertisement

I did not know this was a Hostel and I paid for 4 nights for my husband, his business partner and our son. Upon arrival my husband discovered it was a Hostel and wanted to cancel and rebook for a real Hotel. I called Hotel.com and they called the Hotel and the Hotel refused to refund any of my $367.44 that I had paid. I asked if I can at least pay for the 1st night and they refund the 3 nights back and it was a NO!. False advertising, if it a Hostel, please put Hostel not Inn. Its misleading. DO NOT STAY HERE!

This guest NEVER TURNED up at our property during their entire reservation period. On the second day of their booked period, only a LOCAL FRIEND of this guest turned up at our property and wanted to cancel the booking. The property politely & clearly informed about the CANCELLATION POLICY and explained the penalties for this case of ‘NON-TURN UP’ as per reservation. As like any law abiding responsible property, we just simply followed our PUBLISHED RULES. A CCTV recording of the entire episode is available for verification. As per the Singapore Tourism Board, the authorised government body to issue Hotel Licenses in Singapore, our property is classifed as “TOURIST HOTEL”. So her comments “False Advertisement” and “misleading” are totally incorrect and written just to malign us with MALICIOUS INTENTIONS and also written WITHOUT EVER VISITING our property. We Strongly condemn this sort of unethical & unfair practices by Guests. Mitraa Inn is always committed to FAIR & HONEST way of business dealings and genuine Customer service at all times.

Comfortable stay. Good location

Mitraa inn is a good place to stay with limited budget. The best thing I liked is that it has a bus stop right in front of the main entrance. Its easier to travel by bus in Singapore. So after a long and tired day visiting the attractions, you can reach here easily by bus. The rooms are cleaned everyday. Reaching the upper bed needs some strong shoulders. The staff, at all times are very friendly and help you out in every way possible. You can book attraction tickets here at discounted price. Every payment is by cash. It has a small convenience store which has items of daily needs. For Indian travellers, there is Indian food available at 5 minutes walk. MTR and Anand bhavan are nearest Indian restaurants The breakfast offered was good with Bread and peanut butter and fruits. If you are on a tight budget and prefer a clean accommodation, you can stay here

Great Staff

We enjoyed our stay at Mitraa Inn. The staff were super friendly from the minute we arrived. The location is great; in the heart of Little India with several great places to eat nearby and 5 minutes walk to Farrer Park MRT (underground station). The beds were comfortable but it would have been better with thicker and bigger blankets, especially as we couldn’t turn the aircon off which meant that the top bunks were a bit too cold. Bathroom was great. Breakfast was fine if a little basic, i.e as much toast and either chocolate spread or peanut butter as you can eat, with tea and fruit. The only real negative is that the hostel is next door to a karaoke bar which is REALLY noisy and goes on until 3:30am some nights, so if you’re a light sleeper, or don’t like to hear drunken men murdering Delilah, then this may not be the place for you.
