Breakfast very expensive and the $10 charge if we use water bottle in the room

All of the staff were super friendly. I believe his name was Shane at the concierge was above and beyond helpful! He’s a keeper! The rooms were a bit dated and there was a smell that got stronger over my stay or I noticed it more. Other than that I would recommend

When we arrived I noticed a mouldy smell in the hallway. This aroma was also in our room. When you consider how much per night you are charged it was a bit disappointing. The breakfast buffet had extensive vegetarian opions , however not many vegan options. Perhaps bircher musili could be soaked in Coconut milk, Or a Chia seed and coconut milk . pudding.. I gave feedback while there, staff did not respond well to my concerns.

Very comfortable stay. A great view from my room. Saw the sunsets. Good bed, good shower. However, the room could do with brighter lighting. The wi-fi could be improved. Depending on the site, the wi-fi tended to be slow. Great swimming pool; long enough to swim laps.

The onsite laundromat was a plus and easy access to the MRT and hawker stalls. The air con was too cold and kept having to turn it off. Liked not changing the towels everyday for the environment but didn't realize that this also meant no housekeeping of the room.

Hotel was dated but functional and the buffet (that we paid extra for) was average and so crowded- the food was mediocre. We asked for late checkout (only 30 minutes later) and were denied. Overall it was a below average stay for a hotel in Singapore and for a Holiday Inn.
