The security there are rude n not friendly at all
I was sitting at lobby after shopping around 11pm
The security came out and ask me an I staying at this property at Dorsett and I said yes and He said I’m not allowed to sit at lobby after midnight, I thought that was Singapore law, after midnight I’m not allowed to sit at the lobby. Next day I went to the front desk and ask, the front desk people said you can sit as long as want and I went file a complaint about the security. I will never stay at this Dorsett hotel again. You don’t feel welcome there

Many little annoyances
Posted 21 Jul 2024 on HotelsStay was fine, but there were many little annoyances I would not expect at a 4 star hotel. Tv channels with static/untuned, no PowerPoint in bathroom for hairdryer, my access card didn’t provide access to pool and gym, needing recoding, works underway on the pool, elevator call button not working, tear in pillow case, thin towels.
None of these things significant but added together they amounted to a disappointment.
Staff were terrific at every interaction though, and they were accommodating of my room requests. Location was good and quiet.

The location is great if you are taking the metro to hit tourist locations. It's about 5-10 minutes walk to Chinatown, 10-15 minutes walk to Maxwell Centre and sits right on top of Outram station which has 3 different lines (including an airport one).
