"Hidden Gem for sure! We drove by three valley last year and it was a bucket list wish. We needed a place to stay to break up the drive between Alberta and Vancouver. It was such a wonderfully unexpected surprise! So much character, family feel, lots to explore. Definitely unique- there was an indoor garden, pool and hot tub and games floor, open to an upstairs ping pong tables, library, pool table, cafeteria, restaurant, balconies to the lake and gardens, kayaking…… the ghost town is a whole other post I feel like. They should do a video on it, there is so much history, and all the employees know so much about it. My teenage kids were thoroughly engaged and had so much fun exploring. We walked and walked and walked and there was so much to see. It’s also the right amount of creepy too! Go with an open mind and no expectations and I hope you will be as impressed as I was. We went on the train ride the next morning as we had missed the last ride of the day when we arrived. We also LOVED having 3 double beds! And that there was a second sink separate from the shower. Now to the slightly less great things; The mattresses are the old spring kind and I feel they could stand to be replaced- especially considering the amount of elderly tourists that were there. The bedding (blankets) were kind of cheap and a bit hot. Not hotel grade. No A/C, BUT provided 2 fans. Balcony screen was broken. Restaurant staff was great but food was meh and not worth the price in my opinion. "
