"This property was beautiful but definitely a bit further from anything. No shops or food is walk able. One restaurant on site was decent but very expensive. Pools were nice, one heated and one not. Trail around the property was super cool but had a lot of random inclines. Getting TO the trail up the big driveway started it off tough. We had ants in our room right away and they seemed to come from the beautiful flowers that were placed in our room. Couldn’t leave a single snack around because ants would come very quick. You’re in the middle of all the nature and an amazing volcano view but keep in mind you’ll want a vehicle to get around or just stay put. Mistico was ten mins up the road, the hotel offers a round trip shuttle so book through them!"

"This was one of the best Hotel stays I ever had! All the staff were superb! Everyone was professional, welcoming, friendly and nice! The room had a sunning view of Arenal Volcano. I enjoyed the 6 course tasting menu at Toucan’s Restaurant and it was soooo good! The breakfast buffet was well worth the price. The jewel of the resort was, of course, the hot springs! They were phenomenal- a cascading river of hot springs with about 20 pools of varying degrees. The top of the springs was called Shari-La and is reserved for hotel guests only. This is where you will find the hottest spring. There are cabanas and bar service right there at the top. Located within the spring area is a spa where I had the most awesome, relaxing massage by Brian. The massage took place in an open air cabana surrounded by jungle. I was lucky and there was an awesome rain down pour during my massage and it was truly relaxing listening to the sound while getting massaged, I totally zoned out! The other restaurant located at the spring area, Aves, was also very good, more casual and you could soak in the springs and then have dinner in your robe. The grounds are meticulously landscaped with gorgeous flowers, green shrubs and trees everywhere. The place was so clean and spotless. I loved this place and will definitely return someday… hopefully, soon! "

"We loved the convenience of the hotel and our room was comfortable. The staff was very accommodating and the complimentary breakfast was great. We loved the thermal pools and got to relax after our days of hiking. "

"Room and staff were excellent as well as the trails and property in general. We had fun with the turn down service and their daily towel characters. We had a car while there and I would suggest parking yourself near your room if you plan on leaving property frequently. They have valet, but we had daily activities and wanted to roam outside and explore different foods so didn’t want to walk to the valet each time. Also, it took us a couple days to discover they have 3 different menus to order from. There is a pizza menu, and separate menus from restaurants that you can order off from a bar area. "
