Stunning view and big place, close to all
Posted 14 Oct 2024 on HotelsSuper easy and quick check in at the store next to the apartment. It’s a walk up so was a bit of a challenge to get all our luggage upstairs but the guy who checked us in (I’m so sorry I forgot your name) but he was so lovely and helpful, offering to take some bags himself. The place we rented was like a one bedroom apartment with a small kitchen, tv room, dining room, and bedroom, bathroom was really big too. The view is outstanding. Comfy bed, lots of windows and lots of storage if you’re staying a while.

Disappointing
Posted 9 Jul 2019 on HotelsThe location is good - walkable everywhere although that might be said for most places in Siena. However, this location seemed to be a secondary business to the wine shop and the check-in and check-out seemed to be a bit of a bother to the owners. The fact that the 'office' is in the wine shop some blocks away from the room was inconvenient (definitely do not sign up for the breakfast). Overall it was the least favorite of the 7 places we stayed during our 3 week tour of Italy.

Tutto bene. Unico appunto riguarda la carenza di notizie, ovvero che manca l’ascensore e il piano.

Great choice
Posted 11 May 2024 on HotelsLocation is super great. The staff is nice and helpful. Breakfast will be served at a cafeteria near the back side of the Cathedral. The room is on the 5th floor, which makes us a little tired for up and down. There is no elevator, so if you have suitcases, it will be a bit harder for you.

Nice city B&B that makes you feel like a local!
Posted 13 Aug 2020 on HotelsDue to some issues with our car (It got towed away at a official parking spot because we didn´t see a tiny sign which told you about the weekly market on the parkingspace.) we didn´t enjoy Siena at the end. But what we really enjoyed after a week in different cities, was the great english of the hosts. The check-in was super friendly even we were tired and annoyed. Beside her super friendly kind she was helpful and she always tried hard to make our stay comfortable. We also got a late check out! The bed was comfortable, the room was clean and it had everything we needed for the one night we stayed in it.

Hard to Imagine Any Better than Birbo
Posted 5 Jul 2017 on HotelsI loved this hotel so much that I changed my mind about the travel plan, I kept staying at Siena. The historical part of Siena is that very big but it is nice to get lost in streets with relative comfort because you simply know that somehow, you will find your way. Our hotel had an excellent location, right in the middle of 'action' and overall comfort & cleanness levels were perfect. Rita and Ilenia were nice, friendly and helpful whenever we needed something. If I might visit Siena again, I don't need to think where I would stay: Birbo is one of the best.

ho pagato per avere una camera suite e mi hanno dato una camera piccola con l'aria condizionata che non funzionava. Il confort era scadente e il costo molto alto.
