Woke up the last day of my stay to find out that €50 were stolen from my wallet which was locked with PIN code in the room’s safe.
Escalated to managers (security manager and hotel manager). Security manager knows no english. First, said it is a national day and we can’t get a list of all people entering the room. Then got the list after 30 minutes of pressure and accused me of opening safe at night and stealing my money!! (My children were playing with Nintendo at night and then stored it in the safe).
Hotel manager wanted my details to send me a list of people entering the room. If proven stolen, she would not return the stolen money without police investigation! Absolute waste of time.
I had to leave and avoid involving the police because had to catch the flight and I wouldn’t feel safe for me and my family to stay in this unsafe place.
There was a manager who was half Iraqi and half Turkish who promised to return the money if proven stolen but the lady hotel manager denied the ability to do this.
They were all rude and pretended to help but in fact they did nothing apart from bringing a security list and accusing me of stealing my money!!!!
AVOID bringing cash to this unsafe property.
AVOID this hotel’s managers, they are rude and unprofessional.
AVOID THIS PLACE.
I am thankful that I managed to leave this hotel with losing only €50!!
NEVER BACK AGAIN EVEN IF THEY RETURN THE STOLEN MONEY.

By far the worst food I’ve ever had. Apart from the fresh gozleme made everyday. Everything is very outdated. Staff were nice but I wouldn’t be in a rush to go back.

The reception staff was untrained and rude. The technical service team took 6 days to fix the balcony door, and I had to complain 4 times. We felt unsafe as the balcony door was left unlocked on the ground floor!

Our room was oversold and not available, we had either to stay at a building being used as a storage. The other option is to downgrade our room type

First time was amazing! 2nd time staff ruined stay
Posted 16 Jun 2024 on HotelsThis was the 2nd time my family have stayed at the Selin, we booked the family 2 bedroom Suite which was the best available. Our previous stay was so amazing that we were really excited. I had emailed with the hotel that we needed a lower floor. On arrival we were given a room on the 6th floor. So I said no, so they gave us a room on the 1st floor. On entering the porter tried to turn the lights on but living room area had 1 tiny uplight on the wall so it was in darkness. The 2nd bedroom had 1 light so again it was dark and tiny windows. We were really upset as this wasn’t the room we booked. I went back to reception and they said they’d move us the next day. So our first night was spend in a very dark depressing room. Not very good for over £400 per night! The 2nd day I was shown a room with a view of an asphalt roof which stunk of tar, which was rejected. Finally we were given the room we paid for at the end of the corridor (rooms ending in 10 are family rooms). So we enjoyed our holiday until the last night. My daughter had been Vomiting with a bug so we wanted to keep the room till 5pm, I was told price which was fine. Next morn went to pay. “hotel is full-no extension!”. So I showed her the written note of price etc. the woman was NASTY and rude. Told me to take my vomiting child to a cabana in 40degree heat. Told me I’d already complained and moved rooms over a lamp! Said we’d been given a free cabana! (We’d paid!) The manager arrived & gave me a room immediately.
